20 years of Great Champions
In 1994 (inauguration year) the club hosted two important tournaments:
-Abierto de la Reública Argentina (Argentina Open) won by Mark O’Meara
-Copa de los Andes (Andes Cup) won by Uruguay.
Between 1996 and 1999:
-Campeonato Nacional por Golpes (1996)
-Campeonato Nacional de Interclubes (1997)
-Campeonato Nacional Fourball y Campeonato Nacional por Golpes (1998),
-Tour Argentino de Profesionales (1999).
2000: Tiger Woods wining the World Cup:
In that year the club hosted the World Cup won by Tiger Woods and David Duval and since then it has hosted all the big national golf tournaments:
-2004, the 99th Argentina Open won by José Coceres.
-2007 the 102th Argentine Open won by Marco Ruiz.
Plus Argentine Amateur Championship, Ladies and Gentlemen, competition with over 100 years of history.
In 2010 the club hosted the World Amateur Team Championship, which was won by Korea in Ladies and France in Gentlemen.
In its short history the Buenos Aires Golf Club has supported Argentine golf and has achieved major feats.
It was considered by Golf Digest’s 2007 ranking as one of the Top 100 courses in the world, outside the United States, third in Latin America and second in Argentina.
